Ismail A. Ali received his MSc degree from the University of Duhok, Kurdistan-Region, Iraq in 2005 in the area of automatic verification. He received his BSc degree in electrical engineering in 1993 from the University of Mosul, Iraq. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD degree at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex, UK. His current research interests include video error resilience, cross-layer optimization, and mobile video communications.
